sorry about the multi posting, dont know how i did that then the other one wont even open. The question i was tring to ask was if your laser goes out on ps2 could u use a usb dvd rom with ps2?
You could put a chip in your PS2 and run HDLoader... You won't ever need to use the drive since, depending on your chip, will auto boot into HDLoader.
The only problem is that you'd need a computer with a DVD drive if you want to install games into your system. It is a bit of an investment, but it is really fun and you save yourself the 60+ bucks for a laser on a system that is going outdated anyways.
