That is Sony's ARcoSS protection.

Rip the movie to your HD then use shrink.

That's what the link was for. But DVD Decrypter is pretty straightforward - insert the movie, open decrypter, and you should just have to hit the button and remember where it's getting saved. But use that guide if you need to. When you're done and you want to continue with Shrink, instead of clicking Open Disc, click Open Files. You might have to click the actual video_ts folder, but I'm not sure, it's not hard.

Depending on what "version or release" he/she has, DVD Decrypter will not handle it by itself. You have 2 options. You can use DVD Decrypter with the help of a PSL2 file or use DVDFab Decrypter to rip to your hard drive.

Guide on how to do the PSL2 file: http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=56078

What versions of Decrypter will work by themselves, if you don't mind me asking?

Not version of DVD Decrypter, its the version/release of the DVD. They market several different versions.

akail,

For future reference we don't need to, nor do we want to know where you got the DVDs. Stating you're ripping rented movies is going to piss some people off ;)

@akail

Here is a guide for you to follow.

http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/dvddec.htm

If you follow this step by step you should be good to go. There are also guides in my signature block which will be of interest as well.

Cheers.
