@CREAKY
Is that a common error window shrink throws up when it doesn't like a movie? I havent ripped either of those movies, but read the threads to learn more and I thought that it was encryption that stopped the process and not an error like this. Please let me know if I missed something.
@OLDMAN
Is that a problem specific to Madagascar?

i can't remember what the 'out of memory' error means exactly..

edit - here it is - http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=45265

...so it's still back to checking the Madagascar threads for Oldman48...

we don't get Madagascar in UK 'til next Monday and i expect dvdfab decrypter (free) will cope with it as it's been updated yesterday specifically for Madagascar i think - http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm

I had same problem with Madagascar. Followed advice from TONE28 on another thread and it worked perfectly. Here goes....
Use latest version of dvd fab to decrypt files then run through a free program called VOVBLANKER. Select folder where files are stored as input and nominate a folder for output. Open vts 8 and you should see 5 titles (1-5) highlight 2-5 and press 'blank' on the right hand side.. then press process at the bottom. VOBBlanker will save altered files to designated output folder. Then run files through DVDshrink as normal.. The memory error you experienced in shrink is apparently part of the discs protection setup...nothing to do with lack of memory at all! Hope this helps.. all credit to tone 28.

typo error in name of program.. it is VOBBLANKER, not vovblanker..Sorry!... Also new version of dvdfab says it has fixed problem with madagascar, and it DOES allow DVD Shrink to open the files (which it wouldn't with older version) however I kept getting the 'out of memory message at 71% until I followed advice provided by tone28.
