I replied today to the Cyclic Redundancy Check thread today, but I think the guy helping me has already logged off or something. Here's whats goin on. I burned War of the Worlds yesterday with DVD Shrink alone and it worked perfectly and burned and played in my DVD player. Today I tried making another copy and I keep getting the CRC error at different percentages of encoding. Sometimes it will give me the CRC at 11% and sometime at 50%. It worked perfectly yesterday so I dont know if my laser would get dirty overnight. I tried uninstalling DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter and when I tried using DVD Shrink again it gave me the CRC error again. Is my DVD rom bad now or is it something else such as a dirty laser, computer configuration, or do I just have my settings off or something? I am getting ready to throw this comp out the window so if anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys and sorry for taking up your time. Even when I decrypt with Decrypter and open the files using Shrink I still get the error. Again thank you very much. Oh and another thing when I would start up my comp it would say one of my disks was unstable and it ran the check-up or something like that(Windows 2000). But the thing was that during the check-up it was listing about 8 VTS Files at like a black sorta DOS screen, but it wasnt DOS. Thanks guys!

You can also try making a copy of the good copy you made. Open DVD Decrypter and rip to HDD in ISO read mode then insert blank disc and burn in ISO write mode.

Multiposting the same problem is frowned upon at AD.

Here are the rules.
