i fininshed installing the fliptop for my ps2, but it makes a very very big sound, like a disc is scrathing,the only way it works is when i keep pressure on the lid but if i let go it make a big sound again and stops working :S , anyone know how to mend it?

make sure the fliptop is not to tight, and secondly did you put the magnet on the top of the flip top, that use to be on the original drives lid.

I had the same problem,tighten the screws until you find the right amount of pressure.

Also,make sure the side of the disc isnt getting caught on the side of the top(this was happening to me)

Also,make sure you have the white peice put in correctly.
