Bestmiler--
Welcome to the forum--I think you will be happy with AnyDVD and CloneDVD2--You can try them first for 28 days for free--then if you like it you can buy it. Simplest of any that I have used--AnyDVD runs in the background and you just follow easy steps when you launch Clone-DVD2--http://www.slysoft.com/en/---
Have Fun--

Yes, there are several options available to you for accomplishing this task. I use DVDShrink and DVDdecrypter with AnyDVD running in the background to burn almost all of my backups.
Shrink and decrypter are free and you can get there here a AD. Just click the software tab.
AnyDVD is a retail program (worth its weight in gold), that breaks the current encryptions on the newer movies. You can get it here: http://www.slysoft.com
There are several guides in my signature block that will give you the detailed directions that you need. Follow them step by step and you will be making first class backups in short order.
Cheers.

Bestmiler--
I just checked out that program--don't know much about it and it even says that support is slow--There are newer encryptions coming out fairly often and the only program that I am sure keep up with them is AnyDVD--I do all my backups with DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter, the same way as 9mmruger1--Have over 400 perfect backups--easy to use and offers plenty of options--ie. movie only, requiring less compression so quality is better and DVD Shrink can also optimize quality in settings--requiring more time, but many times worth it--If you are going to spend any money, use it for AnyDVD--you won't be sorry--free to try and just runs in the background so that DVD's show that they are not encrypted making copies simple--

Bestsmiler, dvd cloner2 is a rip off of clonedvd2, it is not as good either.
AnyDVD & CloneDvd2 (by slysoft) are probably one of the best combinations available.
Most here cannot recommend that combination highly enough, well worth the money.

Bestmiler--
The purpose of DVD Shrink is that it takes a normal size DVD Movie (7-9GB)and shrinks it enough to fit on a DVD-5 Disk--(Single Layer--4.7 GB)DVD Decrypter burns ISO files but can also be used to get past the encryption--but it is no longer updated so won't do some of the newer movies--Hope that helps--guides in my sig can help a lot--

CloneDVD2 and AnyDVD for me...although if you want something that will do a good job and is very easy to use try 1Click DVD Copy. It will do everything by itself...decrypt, shrink and burn.

Here is what I found on CloneDVD 2 website:
Quote: Features
* Copies the main movie, Special Features and/or the original menu onto a DVD Recordable or onto your hard disk
* Newly revamped transcoder: Better picture quality also at high reduction rates (footage of more than two hours)
* Impressive program speed, also at high reduction rates
* Video Preview shows an overview of all selectable DVD titles
* You can include or exclude the original menu
* Permanent quality control through quality bars during the title and language selection
* Target size freely adjustable
* Chapter trimming/Splitting available
* Very easy to use: Our unique Film Strip assistant will guide you step by step through all settings - very suitable for beginners!
* Preferences: Memorizes the last settings that were made by the user and proposes it the next time the program starts
* Layer Break Flag Removal possible
* Picture snapshots while transcoding and remuxing
* Realtime bitrate and frame statistics while transcoding
* Logging window available
* Animations during transcoding and writing are replaceable
* Works with most hardware and software DVD Players
* Writes on DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW
* Stable and fast, does not need an ASPI driver
System Requirements
* An IBM compatible personal computer with a Pentium-Class Microprocessor at minimum 500 MHz.
* CloneDVD 2 requires Windows 98 / 98SE / ME with 128 MB RAM, Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 4 or better installed, Windows 2000 or Windows XP with 128 MB RAM.
* If you use Windows NT, Windows 2000 or Windows XP you must be Administrator to install CloneDVD 2.
* You will also need a DVD reader and preferably a DVD writer.
* About 5 GB of available temporary harddrive space are necessary to clone DVDs.
* The faster the CPU (1 GHz recommended) and the more memory (256 MB recommended) you have, the better CloneDVD 2 is going to perform
I know that tons of members ranging from Newbies -> Afterdawn Addicts are using this application/program, but I didn't see any "Book Typing" or "Bitsettings" mentioned by Slysoft.com.
So, I'm curious to know since CloneDVD 2 is so famous, why don't the developer/author/programmer make it Book Typing or Bitsettings available with this product?
I'm not going to argue with any members here that which application/burning engine is the best, but in my opinion, I still prefer DVD Decrypter and Nero Burning Rom. From my perspective point of view, both Nero and DVD Decrypter are my top burning engines. Both of them can easily set the "Book Type or Bitsettings" from any DVD+R, DVD+RW and DVD+R DL into DVD-ROM flawlessly. Therefore, any of my DVD players (new or old) can play all of my backups without any issues whatsoever.
However, the choice is yours because people are entitled to their own judgment and preferences. In contrast, use whatever that works best for you (the most you have acquired experience hands on).

ctually clone dvd is very good and all I did was use decrypter to set the booktype permanetly in the eeprom. Now the litey tool dont work no more, but every dvd + is book typed to dvd roim. So If you go that road then you have no worries. Compared to recode I would say CloneDVD is top of the food chain. I just copied star wars 3 at 60% percent quality on a cheap cmc mag and it came out flawlessly. I know cmc is crap, but clone dvd seems to overcome. Plus a very good burn engine better than Nero. I honestly been getting away from Nero and use clone's engine all the time even for decrypter:>
