Compusa has a 10 pack priced at $19.99. Normally $35+/-. Best Buy price matched them. I hope these are betetr than Memorex.

thanks for the update/notification, but i got myself some 500+ pieces of Verb DL through VARIOUS routes/outlets this past month, i'm good at the moment~ :) spending $1k+ just on DL media took a considerable BITE out of my wallet, i consider it an early Thanksgiving present, to MYSELF~ LOL

My wife will surely kill me if she find out that I spend $1k just for dvd media, but if I spend $1k just to get all kinds of lingerie for her on x-mas, then she's happy. Isn't it ironic? Lol

aabbccdd- AW! now guys play nice ! I understand the reason for DL media ! making uncompressed dubs of your master/dvd's -movies & if I were born extremely rich! instead of just good looking! LOL! & I had a Gazillion inch HD plasma /lcd /or lcd projector ! I would probably buy some DL media too ! But being my wife would kill me and that we only have a three tele house 32" 27"& 24" sony sony & apex ! single layer media meets my needs for now ! Besides I got the maxellz that OFFICEDEPOT has onsale yesterday but I pricematched them & got them at wallyworld! even managed to get a 25pk of the maxell inkjet printables for same price ~ $4.99 Glad you were able ro get the DL's people should get what they want should'nt they? I hope you Enjoy them kivory666 ! And that all the afterdawn community enjoyed their holidays & sales - Peace Happy Burning ! & No Lingerie!

I save my DLs for good movies that would require a lot of compression on a DVD5. Like LOTR, Apocalypse Now, etc.. You dont need many, as most movies you can do movie only, and have little or no compression. Some, like the examples, are much better on a DL. I have two Verb DL 10 packs, and i have only gone thru about 10 DLs so far. Every one of them is great, no problems. At my rate, it will probably be next year before i need anymore DLs. On sale a Verb DL cost 2.00. Genuine Taiyo Yudens .35 each or less. Cheapest way is still DVD5, but there are some cases where a DVD9 is the best way to go. If your original movie cost 25 bucks, then a 2.00 backup investment doesn't seem too bad, .35 sounds even better.

MaxBurn- I hear You ! I was just stating that for most of my burns regular single layer disc are fine ! and that if I had a super duper gee-wiz video system I probably would use DL and use more of them ! As it is I may try some soon Xmas present gift cards and all! And until fairly recently paying 3.00 ea. per Dl disc is a @ little steep! @ $2.00 or so each it's getting bettter & more affordable ! And no I don't ever think will see them down close to the price of single layer disc ! But$2.00 ea. is a good start ! I agree with you that your idea of saving them (DL Disc) for special burns ! and using the single layers for everything else ! Just that for me buying $1000.00 worth would be extravagant! But too each his own & more power to you & them ! Also Please Thank Kalashnikov Kat For Keeping DVD-Dom Safe from CMC crap! it's a big problem maybe he should get something belt fed ! hi buddy, don't even get me started as to what i have to spend on MY wife for x-mas...this $1,000 for MY OWN selfish DL purposes is just a "drop in the bucket" as to what i WILL have to spend on the wife~ :)
but, i WILL take into consideration the VS lingerie, it IS ironic that if it's sexy and for HER, money is not an issue, BUT, if it's something for MY entertainment purposes/hobby, then...it's WAYYYYYYYYY too much~ :)
gotta love the wives though, i wouldn't be happy if it wasn't for her, so for me to spend a lil more on her, it's very much worthwhile for me~ :) you know the old saying, "you can have all the money in the world, but it can't buy you true happiness" (i dunno who said it) but i live by it and find it to be 100% true in MY OWN situation~
i'm not on here to "brag and gloat" about how much i've spent on the Verbs DL, i was simply giving thelox714 an updated account of my DL situation and to thank him and jaehomo for bringing this to my attention. a few members here KNOW how hard it was for me to obtain the Verb DLs 10-pack @ $19.99, i had to call up my friends from OUT OF STATE just to get them...(thanks btw Maxburn, your kindness and effort will NOT be forgotten in my eyes) :)
so, with THAT out of the way, Happy Holidays to all, who wants to see a picture of my Verb DL bounty/stash? lol...i'm happy that i got so many of them thanks to some very kind members here on AD~ :)

just for your information, NO, i wasn't "born rich", i've worked VERY hard to get to where i am now...i happen to be a M.D. here in the state of California, fully licensed and practicing neurosurgeon; hence how i got the nickname of "docTY" from my friend ddp :)

kivory666- I think you may have misunderstood my meager attempt at humor ! Nor was I trying to dog anyone out or rank on them ! either specifically or in general ! And I'm genuinely glad you got your verbatims (DL's) All I stated was that for me at this point in time buying &1000.00 of DL media would be an extravagance ! And possibly you are paraphrasing the passage from the bible ! What profit a man if he gains the whole world & loose his soul in the bargain ! & I do agree with you on the wives sometimes you can't live with them ! But you can't live without them!
