Hi,
I want to know whether PS2 game controllers (game pads) and memory cards are specific for a geographic region and format? The reason am asking the question is that I bought PS2 in US (NTSC format) but when I go back to UK (they have PAL format there), will I be able to buy a new PS2 controller and memory stick in UK and use it with my console?

I know I have to mod my system to play PAL games back home but can I use the local game controllers & memory stick?

Do lemme know.

Thanks,
Alfa

Hi, I don't know for sure about PAL accessories, but I have a JP memory card and controller that work fine on my US PS2. Hope that helps.

The memcards and controllers are not bound to regions, so you can go ahead and get new cards and pad(s) in the UK.

Thanks a lot for the info Dan... I was thinking of stocking up controllers & memory cards for my console before leaving US but I guess I don't have to do it anymore :)
