Which Modchip are you planning on getting?
I recomend either a DMS4 or a Matrix Infinity they seem to be the most reliable and fully functional.

Magic V chips are not known to be very good.
I suggest you spend a bit more and get the
DMS4 Pro, DMS4 Lite or Matrix Infinity

it should work, but it is just at the bottom of the mod chip heap.
watch out for clones too, If you get a chip that says "Muppet"
on it then you got a clone.

I have the DuoX2 chip in my Xbox and it works great, so i would also trust the one for PS2.
You pay $20 and you will get a chip worth $20
simple as that.

The reason i suggested the higher priced chips like DMS4 and Matrix Infinity is because they have flash upgrades, and most others do not. They come out with at least one release a year for them that you can download for free and update your chip with new features.

For example the new DMS4 Pro release will have integrated cheats flashed right to the chip, and a new OS to run on to replace the stock PSTwo OS.
