You didn't answer my question. What is this patch your talking about supposed to do? If you think you can patch a game and play it in an unmodded ps2, your mistaken.

well, you dont really need a patcher if you are using the swap disk method but the mod chip is still needed. But, I hear there is a way to play burnt games on the pstwo(the slim)without the mod but still with the swap method. I dont know where i remember this...if i remember i will post it.

neotokyo, you don't need a mod to use swap magic. The whole point of swap magic is to play backups without a mod. jonsey, not all games need patching if you're using swap magic, check swapmagicfix.com for what games need special methods other than swap magic discs.
