I am a complete novice so can anyone please tell me the best way to copy a Movie from a DVD onto a Blank DVD, so as to make a COPY?
What type of DVd should I use and should it be 120mins or 240?
I have two DVD copiers on my computer and use Windows Xp.What is the easiest and best software to use?

Any help or advise would be most appreciated.

@brianbar........ welcome to AfterDawn......... Yes your question has been asked soooooo many times that it's annoying now..... but you did come to the right place and just because you asked the OLD QUESTION doesn't mean you don't get some help from us more experienced members!

The first thing to do is to make yourself familar with the guides!
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/183136 Read this thread.... use BBMayo or Scuba Pete's Guides..... those guys are the best....... and read more about DVDs! There's lots to learn and it's fun learning! The rewards are great.... you'll learn how to use programs like DVDFab Decrypter (today, they took off DVDDecrypter....so you can't download it from here anymore but the next best thing is DVDFabDecryter), Shrink...this program is also free and will compress the movie to fit into a DVD-5 (single sided, single layer recordable DVD), and if you get to know these programs you'll be able to start backing up DVD movies on a recordable DVD. So, if you start with these 2 free programs and follow the guides..... you'll be on your way to being a DVD burning fool..... like me! Check out my collection in my signature. and let me know if this helps you! good luck!
