							i just don't know what else to do... someone, please help!
 i burn a lot of data dvds on ritek dvd+r (sometimes -r) on a pc built from new parts 10 months ago.

 recently, nero 5.5 started playing up during burning and wouldnt "mount" the dvd. i upgraded to nero 7 (with update), that didnt work. i uninstalled all nero and installed 6.6.0.16 instead. it was looking good until i started getting errors during verification, every single time (20 times!). i thought maybe the verification was wrong, but CDCheck confirmed errors on the discs.

 so... i used an InCD-Clean tool. i defragged & virus-scanned my hard drives, and made sure that there was enough free space on them. i upgraded my NVidia & NForce 3 drivers. i burned at 4x instead of 8x. i cleaned my registry. i flashed & firmwared my Sony DVD-RW DW-D22A BYS2 to a Lite-On DVD SOHW-1653S CS0P & then CSOR.

 i did everything i could think of, convinced something would have done the job. ive just tried to burn another disc, didnt even get as far as verification this time. "Session fixation error" and "Could not perform end of Disc-at-once".

 can anyone tell me how i can find out what is wrong, or suggest where the problem may lie?

 any help bery gratefully received.

							If you post your Nero log then maybe that will help. It's under Programfiles\Ahead\Nero\NeroHistory. I jsut want 1 section, the logs are separated by this thing:
 ====== *** NeroAPI, History File *** ======

 Remember I jsut want 1 section, not the whole log. Preferably the last/latest log or whichever one you failed w/.

							@filthy_p
 Do what GlueEater had mentioned and post up your Nero log (*NOTE: we only need the very last section, plus remember to "delete/edit" out your Nero serial # before posting in here).

							thanks for looking at this.
 my most common problem has been errors identified during verification, but i thought it made sense to just post the most recent log.

 i scanned through the log and found that it said DMA: Off on all my disks. this suprised me as it was one of the first things i checked. in my device manager, it says that my NVIDIA NForce 3 250 Parallel ATA Controller (v2.6) has a Secondary Channel Master Drive Lite-On DVD-RW SOHW-1653S which is set to Ultra DMA 4 - DMA66 Transfer Mode, but also has a box ticked for "Let BIOS select tranfer mode". I'm running Win XP. Is this a problem area?

 B) left click on "HARDWARE," left click on "DEVICE MANAGER"

 D) double left click on either ?Primary? or ?Secondary IDE Channel?

   You will see a "Warning: you are about to uninstall this device from your system," just click "OK," now "SHUTDOWN" or "Restart" your computer
 F) once you restarted your computer, Windows should automatically detect your DVD burner?s drive and re-install it for you. That's it...easy as smoking!!

 **NOTE: do these steps only if the above process failed to bring DMA back on, or you can do exactly like the above steps, except this time you "Uninstall" it from the ?DVD/CD-ROM Drives?

 ****at Device Manager****
 (A) left click on + sign of DVD/CD-ROM Drives
 (B) double left click on your DVD burner or your DVD-ROM drive
 (C) click on "DRIVER," "UNINSTALL," "OK" and then "Shutdown" or "Restart" your computer. That's it... easy as smoking!!!

							thanks so much for your help... i have now burned 3 error-free dvds in a row!
 i updated to 6.6.0.18, burned at 4x and with <4360MB.

 i followed your instructions for DMA in device manager. although my settings were slightly different, i managed to get DMA explicitly switched on, with no auto- or BIOS- selection. when this didnt work, i deleted MasterIdDataChecksum and SlaveIdDataChecksum under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ Class\{4D36E96A-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\000x in the registry. i also checked that "Allow PCI Bus Masters = Enabled" in the BIOS.

 when none of this worked on its own, today i tried a different brand of media, and it worked like a dream!

 after months of using ritek, ive no idea why they have become problematic. i also don't understand why Nero log still repotrs DMA as off. i might check the BIOS settings again.

 but the important thing is, i can burn perfect dvds again!

 thanks so much for taking the time to help ;)

							Ritek has been problematic as of late with lots of people.
 About the dma. I think it is a case where Nero is sending false report. It seems the nvida drivers are blowing its mind for some reason.
