My Slim PStwo won't read DVD games (will read CD games)

I have had my pstwo working fine for the longest time and now it stopped reading dvd games. I put in ddr extreme 2 (worked before) and it just goes to the dashboard then when i click on browser it says this disc cannot be read.I tried it with american wasteland and the same thing happened. Then i tried it with mortal kombat 4 (cd disc) and it worked. What is wrong! Please tell me if you know anything about this. Thanks.

try using a laser cleaner and see if that helps.
Cleaning and adjusting the laser usually helps with disc
read problems, but i have only done that on the old PS2 and
not the slim so i can not tell you how to adjust or clean it.
Get one of those cleaning discs for DVD players to start.

Wow i tried again today and now the disc doesn't even spin. What the heck do I do now? I want to play my ps2!
