Hi!
i made a backup of a game i have - Mortal Kombat, but it doesn't work on my PS2 (a new slim one with a mars chip (i think it's called mars? or magic?)
anyway - it does work on a friend's console??on mine it just says:
"this disc cannot be played"

what can i do?

Thanks,

maybe faulty chip. Do any other backups work? Is your friends a slimline too? What brand of disk is it burned on? Is it DVD-R or DVD+R?

It may just be that your slim doesn't like those Verbatim discs
first off 16X DVD's people have had many problems with, and i have
had problems with the printable type myself.
Stick with a standard DVD like an 8X DVD-R, not printable.
TY is one of the very best which is why they worked i'm sure.
Try some regular DVD's and see what happens, maybe your friend has a few he can give you.

i usually use TY, but had this one around so i used it :(
if i'll copy this one to a TY will it work? or do i need to do it again from the original disc?

If you still have the ISO on your PC then copy that to a new disc
If not i would do it from the original
