Try the latest version of AnyDVD running behind DVD Shrink. Free 21 day free trial can be found here: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/anyd...

There is also an extensive thread on Sony movies here:

in addition to LOCOENG's reply, re Madagascar, i did that one effortlessly last night with DVDFab Decrypter 2.9.6.0 (free) then Shrunk with DVD Shrink as normal. what i did do was use my dvd-rom/cd-write combo drive (like i do for most of my ripping); didn't try to rip it on any of my dvd burners as i'd done the movie already but it's always nice to have a couple of optical drives..as if a movie won't play ball on one drive you always have a choice of drives to use..

I agree with j_torres regarding AnyDVD, but if you don't want to spend the money try DVD43. It is also free and works much the same as AnyDVD. Make sure that your completely remove your old version of AnyDVD though, as they are known not to play well together.

Also, as creaky said, DVDFab Decrypter is an excellent freeware ripper that works much like DVD Decrypter does in File mode.

Also, try DVD Decrypter in ISO mode and then open the .ISO with DVD Shrink. Many people have gotten Madagascar to copy with it, so I would assume the same to be true for Sky High, if it has Ripguard Corruption. It is still to early for Macrovision to make a major variant, so it should not be too different from Madagascar.

Sky High,I have Shrink, DVD Decrypter, DVD Fab and VOB Blanker with AnyDVD. Tried using shrink, decrypter and DVD Fab none of them worked. Used VOB Blanker worked great. Info on VOB Blank: Just run the process don't do anything else (don't blank any files out or change the settings). When its done just hit quit then run DVD Shrink like you would with DVD Decrypter. Works great. This also works with Madagascar too.

@Jb54,

Exactly how did you rip the movie? This would be very helpful to others that will read this thread.

Did you rip with DVDFab or DVD Decrypter? Or did you rip it using AnyDVD and VobBlanker?

I had the newest version of AnyDVD running in the background (5.6). I just opened shrink and reauthored it , movie only taking out the extra audios and subtitles and burned it with decrypter. The show information area in AnyDVD will tell you that it has ripguard. Access show information by right clicking the red fox on your taskbar or you can check the box in the program to have this come up automatically after you insert the dvd.

I was so ugly when I was a kid, my parents used to take me everywhere just so they wouldn't have to kiss me goodbye.

Hi all, I successfully burned Sky High using AnyDVD 5.6.1.1, and DVDShrink. Choose to reauthor in DVDShrink, and burn the main title only...leave out all of the extras and the movie will encode and burn no problem.

I was able to burn Madagascar and Stealth the same way.

Cheers!

I just made a successful backup of Sky High.
Here is what I used to do this.

1.I had AnyDVD running in the background.
2.I used FabDecrypter to make audio and video folders.
3.I used ClondeDvd 2 and opened the video folder made by Fabdecrypter.
4. I let CloneDVD do it's thing and presto a Successful backup with menus and special features.

Hope this helps because I know this movie is a pain in the A*s

You know, another simple way to do madagascar is by using AnyDVD in the back ground, use DVD Decrypter (file mode) save the movie to your hard drive. When DVD Decrypter is done, use vobblanker. What vobblanker does is make a new copy of your original files. Then open DVD Shrink and should work like a beauty. I did it this way and got a full back up of madagascar, war of the worlds, and sky high with out reauthoring or getting reed of anything. Vobblanker may look hard to use but it isn't. I got it on the first try. Good luck!!
