Hi there,
I've worked on this problem literally all day, have read posts and searched various groups to see if any information pertains to my particular problem to no end. I am hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction. Here goes....
In the past I have used DVD Decrypter and AutoGK to rip and encode specific files from my personal DVDs to have on my computer - specific music videos within a DVD collection for example, and have had no problem with the process until today.
I located the particular file on the DVD using DVD Decrypter and have it create the IFO file. When I go to AutoGK to convert to avi, there is no sound present. The video come up just fine, but never any audio. I show no errors on Decrypter and consistently get the "success" sound (the file I am attempted to rip to my hard drive is about 8 and one half minutes in length, and it is taking Decrypter about 30 seconds to complete, and AutoGK is able to open up the vob files, but no audio files are presented as available. When I select preview, the windows media player pops up after about 6 seconds and will play the video, but the volume control slide disappears and there is no audio source.
The thing that baffles me the most is that I have done this a number of times in the past with no problems - the last SPECIFIC time was September 15 of this year (I checked the date on the file )
Today I have updated both DVD Decrypter and AutoGK to their most current versions, but the problem remains. No one else uses my computer and I never adjusted anything within these two programs from each previous use. I adjusted things today here and there, but nothing ever worked.
Do you think the problem is specific with DVD Decrypter, or is it possible that there is something that is missing or corrupted that Decrypter uses? Or autoGK for that matter?
Has anyone ever heard of this? Any suggestions, or notes of sympathy?
As I said I feel like I have looked everywhere online to to avail.
I hope you can help - and thanks in advance for your suggestions - additionally if I did happen to post this in the improper place or if there is a fix to this that I missed, please accept my apologies.
Respectfully submitted
