I don't know why I never thought of this until I got the game. I knew it was two discs but I never really though about it.... I could make a copy of each disc, but when it asks you to put in the second disc, it would probably tell me its not a valid ps2 disc wouldn't it? has anyone backed up this game and can tell me? hmmmmm... I'm still going to copy them onto my hard drive now, but I'm not going to burn them until I know if it will work or not. See, I'm sure the first disc will load fine, but i'm not sure how I'd get the second disc to play when it was time to switch over onto it.

It depends. If you're using the Swap disc method, you need to be able to save in between discs. If so then you are okay. You just boot off the next disc and load your game. If the game requires a mid game swap you need a modchip that supports multi disk games in order to be able to play it through. I had this problem with PSX games, so I researched it thoroughly. If you have the original, then you can always swap it in when it asks you to insert disc two, then save your game at the first possible oppurtunity and use your backup from there on out. I have an original copy of this game, but I can't remember if it allows you to save in between discs.

Yeah you can save in between discs, so you're good. I could care less who has their originals. I was merely stating this is one of the few original games I own.

you can save between discs? you sure? awesome if you can. and yeah, i bought the first one. it's a great game. I actually think I enjoy it even more than the more popular final fantasy series. i only have a few original games haha. xenosaga, resident evil 4, god of war, gran turismo 4, and shadow of the colossus. i only buy my favorites :)

According to a two different walkthroughs on GameFAQ's, yes. This is a good series. I liked Xenogears better personally. There's too much FMV in Xenosaga, not enough interaction.
