I came across this site which I though would be useful to anyone searching for great Windows freebies http://www.hsinlin.com If you know of any similar sites feel free to add them to this thread.

Although, Not all of it is freeware. But you do still get quite a bit from it.

Here's one for free photo editors/converters http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/imageviewfreewin/#more I've personally used 20/20 and it's pretty good for a freebie.

I would recommend both: http://www.majorgeeks.com and http://softpedia.com

Though not all software are free, you can search for hard to find software...

That's wierd...
Isin't everything on the net free? ;9)

Just kidding. I just google for any software I want.
Recently, I found 'AutoShutDown'.
You just need to know the right words...every famous software has a free alternative.

Unless a freeware site has a strict no spy/addware/virus policy I dont want to go near it,Downlaod.com is alright for most things for for free free ware I go to freewarefiles.com witch strangely has more freeware than most other sites.

Is it me are it half the net on anti resuming PHP code now? half the things I want to downlaod that are 20MB+ you cant resume ><
its like we are stopping bandwidth misuseage by preventing download managers and multi file accelerators at the price of downloading something half way 20 times 0-o

Copyright infringement is nothing more than civil disobedience to a bad set of laws. Lets renegotiate them.
