The format is mpg and I'd like to rip it to a DVD-R.

Some of the files are mpeg as well. Also, can I take a bunch of small files and make a compilation DVD? If so, could you also tell me how to do this or possibly direct me to a tutorial? Thanks!

You may convert the mpegs into dvd compliant format with VSO DivXtoDVD (free version), then burn with e.g. Nero:

http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/v...

You can add multiple videos to VSO at one time (just keep adding before hitting 'convert').
