When I take the front cover off, do I need to remove the ps2 logo on front of the tray. If so, how? I ask this because I can't remove the front, and it seems that the pieces behind the logo are the problem.

You dont take the log of, but you take of the piece that is attached to the logo, the disk tray cover. instructions are at:

there should be only 1 screw and to clips either side of the tray...

undo the screw and get a tiny flay headed screww driver and plauck 1 end of and then the other and then should come off....

i would recomend u put the screw back in so you dont loose it..thats what i did anyway..
