has anyone had problems with the slim ps2 overheating to quick and lagging? my local game shop tells me its the ventilation and i've been trying to solve that but it doesn't seem to be the problem. help would be appriciated. thanks.

yes, especially in a house that is warm or has no A/C
the slims are know for their heat issues.
Try taking a house fan and sticking it in front of the unit
stand the unit up vertically for less surface area to touch anything
the more air flow and less surface area touching something else,
the better it will run.
