The DVD 'Downfall' backup runs okay for while but suddenly it momentarly stutters (little blocks appear in chapeter 1-5) and starts again but with out the (english) subtitles as they have switched off!
Is there away to remedy this (by editing this little section out)or will I have to re-backup from the original DVD?

Cheers

you discribed pixialtions and skipping...... it sounds like a media problem. What disk are you burning to? If you start off with good media then you whouldn't have pixilations or skipping. here is a good web page about media: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm
I bet if you bought Taiyo Yuden disks (you can get them online from supermediastore.com or meritline.com and other sites)Verbatim, Maxel, Sony..... there are others but I only use those and I don't have the problems of skipping or pixilations.

Just to be sure...... what program(s) did you use? Did you burn at a slower speed (4x recommended)? please give a little bit more information on what you used and how you used it, so we can make better answers to your question/problem. We are happy to serve.

Re-'Downfall' Problem: I copied the dvd using Shrink set at 4350, then burnt the dvd at 4x however, a lesson is well learnt here as I found reading the forum articles that I've got bad DVD's (C-Mag) so in future I will now only get Riteck Go5 or
taiyo yuden dvd's!

Thanks for the help!
