The only time I ever use either of these features is if it's below 70% or so. I have noticed very little quality difference by doing this. If I do anything at all, I'll do maximum sharpness, because smoothness just takes way too long, and isn't much better than sharpness, if at all. What do you guys do?
The only time I do Maximum sharpness and smoothness is if I ripping before I go to bed, and just let it run while Im sleepin. I will do it with a select few titles, that I want to be near 100%. But yeah, it does take a long time though.

HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!
Yes, it's worth it, especially if you have/own any 45" or over HDTV. I have a 55" Sony HDTV and with "Maximum Sharpness" I can't hardly notice the differences at all. However, if neither "Maximum Sharpness" or "Deep Analysis" was not done/performed, then I can notice few spots (meaning loss very little quality picture).
