You do need a wireless router to go on the internet on your PSP. You can find wireless routers from most PC stores or from your Internet Provider.
If you don't want to buy a wireless router, you could use a USB Wifi dongle (however the wifi performance isn't as good). You can find a guide on how to use your PSP online with a USB dongle from here: http://www.pspcrazy.com/wifihack.htm
Hope this helped,

ok acid....plug the main internet plug into the wireless rounter, then plug your old router into one of the wireless router spots.....thats is you dont have a slots for the wirless router, if u do then just plug it into the wirless router into your old router. that should work...by the way all wireless routers work with the computer, psp, ds and just about ne thing that need wifi and what not...its just some work better then others
also for you acid.....the router might be wep on it so u might have to find it....if it doesnt i suggest putting one on it so neighbors cant acess it

Ok, lijred
Do you have a something that looks like this in your house. If not you need to buy one first. Then we will help you from there. Linksys is the best brand.

Found these on another site.....
1. Go to the Main Menu of your PSP.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Scroll down to Network Settings and Press the X button.
4. Select Infrastructure Mode.
5. Select New Connection.
6. Name the connection so that you know it is for web browsing. (ex. WebConnect)
That way you can use another connection for the rest of your online games.
7. Push the Right Direction Key to go to the next menu.
8. Select the Scan option and let it pick up your WLAN settings.
9. Once it picks up a connect, Push the Right Direction Key to go to the next menu.
10. Select Custom for the Address Settings.
11. Push the Right Direction Key to go to the next menu.
12. Leave IP Address Setting on Automatic.
13. Push the Right Direction Key to go to the next menu.
14. Select Manual for your DNS Setting.
15. Push the Right Direction Key to go to the next menu.
16. Enter in 67.171.70.72 as your Primary DNS and just leave the Secondary DNS blank.
17. Push the Right Direction Key to go to the next menu.
18. Select "Do Not Use" for your Proxy Server settings.
19. Push the Right Direction Key to go to the next menu.
20. Push the Right Direction Key to go to the next menu.
21. Push the X button to save your settings.
22. Do a quick test of the connection to make sure it's working correctly.
23. Launch Wipeout Pure and go to the Download option in the main menu.
24. Select the name of the new connection you just made (ex. WebConnect), connect, and enjoy browsing the internet on your PSP.

Ok, all the steps are pretty obvious. I kept scaning for networks whille out, trying to leech from someone, just to see whats the PSP net surfing feeling. I find not protected networks but i have trouble connecting, i receive an error and a message to check my security setings. Today i tried for the first time to conect to a router that i had set up, WEP protected . After receiving the same message i entered manually IP adresing, entered a free IP adress, Router IP and the interned providers primary and secondary DNS that i know for sure, than Do not use Proxy, Do not Start Browser. Thoght it has to be ok this time, but hell no. "Error connecting, check your security settings".
The router is LevelOne Wireless
My conection looked like this:
IP: 192.168.123.161
Router:192.168.123.254
Prim.DNS: 62.162.32.5
Sec. DNS: 62.162.32.6
And ofcourse the correct WEP key
Any advice of what im doing wrong?
Thanks
