Has Sony came out with a new copyright protection?
I tried to make a backup copy of Stealth and it kept saying read error on the status bar with dvd decrypter. I've used this several times to make an iso and then cut and burned them with dvd shrink. The disk looks
in new condition so I was just wondering if i was wasting my time.

lots of threads here on stealth. I used AnyDVD w/ clone2. Decrypter can not handle this movie w/o a psl or AnyDVD running in the background. And yes Sony did 'update' their ARccOS protection starting w/ Lords of Dogtown.

Many ways to skin a cat

A simple method to bypass the protection and rip Madagascar/Stealth and other Sony movies is:

Rip using the ISO Read mode in DVD Decrypter and save to hard drive

Open DVD Shrink - Go to File - Open Disk Image

Analyse - Re-Author - then burn with Nero or similar.

Easy.

If Decrypter is having a problem in the ISO Read mode - you may have a faulty original

Decrypter is getting pushed aside, seems it's having trouble with the lastest movies/on Sony.
DVD Shrink had trouble with my Madagascar dvd.
So-----the combo i'm reading about is AnyDVD with CloneDVD 2 that seems to be getting the job done.
I've been using Shrink and Decrypter for along time now and started to have trouble with new releases also.

I tried Clone DVD and made an iso. I was going to try ripping it with DVD Shrink but it wouldn't open so I burned the image with Nero and it copied it perfectly. Thanks for all the info, guys.
