I got an itching question so i hope someone can help me out here.
Intalling games on my hd is no problem with winhiip. I've read on some other forum you must make a 2nd partition on the HD for playing divx using ps2reality mediaplayer pro 2, did that. SO now im stuck at the final phasE: how must i put my divx movies on my hd partition since my comp wont read neighter one of the freshly created partitions since theire in ps2 format. Result i still can only install games using winhiip. Grrr i really want to put them divx movies on there so if somebody knows the answer please do so!
Well after a lot of fuss i found out what to do. I thought i'd share it with you
1 - plug your hd in yer ps2 and format it with the dms format tool v1.1 wich you have burned on a cd using cdgenPS2 (you will need a modchip for playiong this cd i guess). (i use a messiah chip and it worked on that aswell). When done you will see a green boot partition. Dont mess with it. Just create a new partition with dms format tool and name it like "media" or something.
2 - Plug yer HD in your winxp comp. With winhiip you can install your backup games. Winhiip still doesnt see your freshly created partition, only the ps2 format as a whole. This is no problem because we move on to step 3 now:
3 - google for "PS2 PFS Explorer 0.7.0.25b" This is a homebrew proggie wich lets ya install divx/roms ect on your created "media" partition. All goes pretty fast with it allthough its native language is spanish. You will figure out fast enough how to use it. Use www.freetranslation.com to translate texts into english of you want to know what the proggie is telling you ;) Its important you dont dl an older version (i tried wich didnt work, this version does work:D)

Hey man can you explain how to use that program, I cant get it to work, I select the proper hd from the pull down menu at the top then press that Montar button and it shows me my media partition. After that point nothing else does anything, when i press the "adicionar arquivo" button it allows me to browse my files but whenever i pick something it gives me a error. Any help would be great.
hey tony,when i press the "adicionar arquivo" button i can install the DivX file on my hd. Im not getting any errors. Can you tell me what error you are getting? Post a screenshot of it to imageshack or something and lemme see it. Good luck!
yea it doesnt do anything but give me that error, when i first load the program and select the bottom option on the pull down at the top, like "abrir arquivo..." then hit the montar button, the file open screen comes up and i can choose b/t .bin files and what they call todos (assume DivX b/c my DivX files come up) but that also give me an error b/c i havent selected a partition.
Do you know of any ftp programs or some other way to transfer these movies, I dont have a mod chip so i cant use dms hdl dump, and when i connect via ftp with FlashFXP i select the partition.
