ok if you want to go on live you have to reinstall your original dashboard(the green one).thats were the connection hosts are.to do that go back into the auto installer and restore ms_backup.
then try to connect,go to troubleshooter then change your IP settings back to auto, make sure DNS is auto too.
to ftp your xbox through your computer re-install the evox dash(if you have already restored ms_backup,you will need to click install mod then install evox dash).then go onto your computer and donwload a program called smartFTP its easy to find.go into smartFTP and on the taskbar at the top type in the username: xbox, password: xbox
and finally in the port number type: 21. THEN TO GET THE MAPS FROM YOUR XBOX GO TO FTP(TOP RIGHT HAND CORNER,THEN CONNECT) E DRIVE,T DATA,FOLDER WITH NUMBER ENDING IN 64,THEN GO INTO $c AND THE THREE FOLDERS CONTAIN THE NEW MAPS.GET THESE AND SEND THEM TO A PLACE WHERE YOU DONT USUALLY GO IN UR P.C THESE ARE YOUR BACKUP MAPS,THEN SEND THEM FROM YOUR XBOX TO YOUR DEKSTOP,GET YOUR MODS AND APPLY THEM TO THE MAPS ON YOUR DESKTOP WITHA PROGRAM CALLED PPF OMATIC,THEN REPLACE THE MAPS IN YOUR XBOX WITH THE MODDED ONES ON YOUR DESKTOP.VOILA,MODDED MAPS

you don't have to reinstall it, if you msdash doesn't work when you go to msdash on the evoX menu, all you have to do is ftp all the "FOLDERS" in the c drive to your computer, (leave the folders on there juss make copys, then reboot, then ftp the back ups you juss made back to the c drive and replace all the folders in the c drive with the back ups and the ms dash should work again, and also set your dns settings and stuff back to auto and kick some ass on live
