I downloaded the latest versions of DVD Decrypter and Shrink and my first Issue was with DVD Decrypter. In the DVD Decrypter Log it states that c:/fat 32 does not support single files.

So I skipped using DVD decrypter and fired up the latest version of Shrink and to my suprise I did not have to use any other software to decrypt,rip or burn or whatever you call it and succesfully made my first dvd copy which played just great in my stand alone dvd player.

My question is Ive looked everywhere in this forum and could not find any related Issues similar to mine and am wondering if I may have missed something?

Im a newbie and I thought for sure my first attempt to back up a dvd would be coffee coaster.Id appreciate any output.

yes dvd shrink will work by its self along with nero or dvd decrypter to burn ,just read in here a couple days and learn what you can iam sure you will come up against a movie dvd shrink wont do since its not being updated anymore.and with the newer encryption on new movies .so if you want better software shoot me back and we can go over some, heres a guide to read to backup your dvds

When you use the shrink\decrypter combo for backups, fat32 is just fine. Fat32 file system only handles 1gb junks of data at a time so your movie will be broken up into 4-5 files and then there will be a small 5kb file with an extension of .MDS . You browse to this file (MDS)in decrypter and all the files will burn in the correct sequence to complete your movie. I've been doing this for 2 years under Fat32.
