hi

i was wondering if there is a way to make a movie menu on dvd
so that if you press on the first link it will play the movie
but if you press the other link it will open a file that i put on the dvd
does anyone no how to link that file into the menu and put both movie and data file on it

and i want it so that a normal dvd player can play the movie on a dvd but then you put in the computer you can press the link and it will come up with the file

or is there a way to turn the data file into a video file and then link it to the menu but when you open the file it still has the same content

No....Your DVD Player is Not a PC so the Only data it can read is the Video and audio Data on the DVD and the Info in the IFO and BUP Files so you cant say add an EXE File of a Program or something to the DVD and expect the DVD Player to be able to read it and understand what it is...

You can easilly add a Menu with Links that go to Different menu"s or Chapters or to other Video Clips but you couldn"t link to say a Program or Game....

What Type of Data are you Talking about that you want to add to a DVD???

no what i mean is i want the dvd player be able to open the menu and play the movie but it cant load the file (say a .exe file)
but then when it goes on the computer andd you put it through the dvd playing program it comes up with the exact same menu that was on the dvd player except that now when you press on the link it will load the file on the dvd

I"m sorry But I really don"t understand....Why would your Menu or Movie be an EXE File??

It is Simple to Make a DVD that Has a Menu were you can select which Chapter or Movies or which menu you want to Navigate to but I don"t understand were the EXE File comes in as Video files generally aren"t EXE Files.....

Maybe if you explained what you are trying to do in more detail then I could help you More....
