When I am using shrink and the encoding is going the process usually takes 2 hours to do. Is it suppose to take that long or faster. Can someone help me please.

How much RAM you got is normally the only way to improve speed. Is you DMA on? Do you have spy/mal/Adware? How much space is in your HD. Is your HD fraged? Are you multi-tasking? And if all else fails uninstall then reinstall, but if that does help then it would only be like that for a few days maybe weeks, then it's go back to being slow.

What settings are you using? Are you doing deep analysis or just regular shrinking?

I notice that when I use shrink from the DVD-RW to encode that it takes significantly longer than if I rip to the HD first. Especially on the longer movies like Lawrence of Arabia.
