1. First step is to get your Xbox modded. (you cannot backup an Xbox game without an modded Xbox.)
? There are two ways to mod you Xbox. First is a chip that you can get soldered on. Some chips now are solder less. The second way is to have it soft modded. The difference between the two are not to drastic. Though soft modding tends to be safer than chipping. Afterdawn.com is a great place to learn about modding your xbox.
2. Items you need: A modded Xbox, either a crossover cable or router, a computer, blank 4.5GB DvdR?s and these programs: Qwix and Copy2Dvd. (There are others that work just as well, but these are very simple programs to use.)
3. Connect your Xbox to you PC via the crossover cable or router. On the main screen of the Xbox dashboard you will now see an ip address if it was successfully connected. (if not reboot your Xbox.)
4. If you have not already installed Qwix, install it now. After loading Qwix you will see an active connection address bar. To the right of the bar click on Add> New Connection.
? In description, type: ?Xbox?.
? In i.p. Address, type the address that now reads on your Xbox dashboard.
? In port, type ?21?.
? In login, type ?Xbox?.
? In password, type: ?Xbox?.
[Transferring files] > On the left side of the Qwix program click on the ?create ISO? icon.
>under the source cell, select FTP folder. (three little dots on the right of that bar.)
>Select the ?F? folder.
>Select ?games?.
>Select the game you want. Then click ?create ISO? under the options cell.
>Save your ISO to a destination on your PC. BAM!
5. [burning an ISO image] If you have not istalled Copy2Dvd yet, do so. After the ISO images are done transferring, find the where you transfer them to on your PC.
>Put in a blank dvdR and double click on your ISO.
? If everything went as smooth for you as it did for me, you can now erase your game of your Xbox and have more room for other crap. Remember backup Xbox games only work on modded Xbox?s. So don?t loose your originals!
