PS2 hard drive partition error

I got a partition error when trying to transfer a backed up ps2 iso game from my computer to my ps2 hard drive. And when i put the hard drive in my ps2.. about half of my games were erased. any clue on how to avoid this?.. or bring back the games?

I use Hdl_dumb.exe and sometimes WinHIP V1.73 to transfer backed up dvd images to my ps2 hard drive. I used the winhip program and went into the utilities option and selected Scan/Repair PS2 drive.. and then it showed the games that dont show on my ps2 console
