I tried copying MADAGASCAR and STEALTH using dvd shrink, no success on MADAGASCAR.. but i was able to copy STEALTH.. unfortunately after doing that I noticed a considerable change in speed when im trying to write it into a disc. I tried writing other files, still the same and it used to write at a speed of 8x before.. now it wont even reach 2x. Please help.. i'm debating whether to call dell for tech support.

Madagascar has been a right royal pain for a lot of ppl. i'll do a quick copy/paste of one of my (many) replies re this movie -
Quote:
i recently did Madagascar effortlessly with DVDFab Decrypter 2.9.6.0 (free) then Shrunk with DVD Shrink as normal. what i did do was use my dvd-rom/cd-write combo drive (like io do for most of my ripping); didn't try to rip it on any of my dvd burners as i'd done the movie already but it's always nice to have a couple of optical drives..as if a movie won't play ball on one drive you always have a choice of drives to use..

I would be more inclined to think that your system has shifted into PIO mode rather than DMA. Check the following link and see if it has. PIO will definately slow a systems performance down.

I hope that this helps you out.
