I'm using dvd shrink, Imgtool, Imgburn>>> to transfer files to disc, device buffer drops to 23%, thus, writing speed drops to just 1.8X when it used to write at 8x speed. please help

Check to make sure that windows hasn't reverted to PIO mode. Here is a link to find out:

Thank you very much. I checked and it was on PIO mode. I tried uninstalling, but now both of them are on PIO mode...(device 0 and device 1)... :(. I can't think of anything to do... so i just did a system restore on a date days before i noticed the sudden decrease in write speed. Thanks, but if you know of any other way i can fix this other than what i did please advise... Thanks again.
