ok i have an xbox that displays error code 16 every time i turn it onso if any one could tell me were the files are that i need and how i could get them on my xbox id really appreceate it thanks a bunch

yeah i soft modded it and my dashboard got deleted so i need to know where i can get a new one preferably the original one. not a modded one but what ever works and i need to know how i can get it on the hard drive i was goin to try and get a usb to ide cable to do it but if you can help me that would be awsome my xbox is all open so im not afraid to take it apart but i cant get a mod chip o if you can do this it would rock mastapimp22@hotmail.com

Yeah u will probobly need to mod and they have 15$ mod chips unless thats to expensive. othrewise theirs no other way and by the way its pretty eay installing a modchip i had no soldering experience before this and it turned out great

well im out of money and my dad wont buy me any more stuff for my xbox off ebay and what will the mod chip do

Well the modchip wil enable u 2 put a new dashboard on ur xbox along with fixing the original. But u cant scrape together 15 bucks. Its winter go shovel. Gte some money. Sell lemonade or beer or lemonade mixed with beer. Infinate possibilites

Before hotswap, can you load games and go Live? if so, try to load some new games that you have like gosht recon. So you can find the dashupdate. Then update your ms dash and hope it will reinstall the ms dash.
If it does not work, then do hotswap.
