Would anyone know of a online site that sales Taiyo Yuden blank media, along with other computer hardware, and a network crimping tool. I'm just trying to place an order for some new media, along with some other items I need. Thanks for any help

I have a Dell 4400 with Win XP sr-2 with P-1.6ghz 1 GB ram, 120g h/d, 40g h/d, , CD burner, and Plextor PX 716A dual layer DVD burner, 64 Meg video card.
I basically use it to find, and research information on the Internet.

I recommend rima.com and supermediastore.com for your TY purchases. For the crimp tool, tigerdirect.com. For hardware, I would comparison shop between newegg.com and tigerdirect.com. Tigerdirect carries TY as well, but they are WAY overpriced!!! You'll probably get other suggestions concerning the crimp tool and hardware, but the general consensus will support my TY recommendations. Good luck and good choice of media!!!

I agree with those ideas. I've gotten blank media from rima before. I'm trying to maybe save on some shipping and pick up a few other items that rima does not carry plus media all from the same place. Tiger looks kind of good for this but they don't have much of a selection of Taiyo Yuden media, and it looks like they want a lot for it. I just need 100 DVD+R blank disk and it's $99, and the only other ones they have at tiger is 300 packs. I can get from rima 100 disk item #1733-100, 4.7gb 8x for $39. Maybe I'm not correct about their selection tiger has, and thier cost. Check it out and if you can let me know if you agree. Maybe I will just have to split my order of hardware, and media from 2 different places.

despite understanding that you want a "one-stop shop" for ALL your media as well as your hardware, in this case, i think you would save significantly if you split up your order! :)

i also recommend rima.com as well as supermediastore.com for TY media, but, if you really wanna get everything from 1 place to save on their already LOW price in shipping, i woould go to newegg.com~ :)

haven't actually searched newegg.com for the crimping tool u are looking for, but i get almost 90% of my computer hardware from newegg.com and have ALWaYS had a pleasant buying experience as well as CHeAP shipping, sometimes FREE~! :)

while newegg does not carry TYs (last time i checked at least), their selection of computer hardware is VERY extensive and competitively priced...

stick w/ sms and rima for your Taiyo Yuden purchases though, very few online outlets such as Tigerdirect can even compete with the pricing sms and rima have on media...and if they COULD compete, they offering you crap media like FREE Teons or whatnot after rebate...that's just like flushing $$ down the drain...why bother?

so it might be beneficial for you to order from 2 separate online retailers, you will end up saving money, don't buy media from tigerdirect, that price is outrageous~ :) OMG, i'll sell you 100 pack for 1/2 this price if you really wanted it~ LOL, i got TONS of Taiyo Yuden media...hahahaha
