Simple question about PAL and NTSC

All right guys My PS2 is modded with a Crystal Chip(hacked firmware) With bootmanager 1,7b I was thinking the chip has a force video and force color mode.....
So shouldn't I be able to play a PAL Game on my NTSC modded PS2, and Also I got a bonus question, Is it normal that when I try to boot a game in enhanced mode with any game PAL or NTSC, it takes a load of time And then it the screen goes black and nothing happens btu when I boot a NTSC game It boots nicely. Thanks

Oh yeah BTW, It can boot the PAL game but the problem is the TV flickers does this mean that It's the TV's fault then?

most if not all north american (assuming this is where you are) tvs only support NTSC (and I have yet to see one that supports both) so, in some way it is the tvs fault (but it's doing it's job properly). If the chip really does have a force NTSC mode then you'd need to put it into that mode (by pressing something during the boot up) it won't just go into force NTSC mode automatically as far as I know. The tv flickering is normal when you play a PAL game on an NTSC tv because the NTSC tv can't handle/display the game properly since it's running/refreshing at a higher frequency. No idea bout the enhanced mode.
