I have just installed DVD shrink 3.2 and DVD decrypt 3.5.4.0
I attempted to burn a DVD on shrink but it tells me "invalid DVD navigation" what does this mean? What am I doing wrong? what exactly does DVD decryptor do?

The problem probably lies with DVD Shrink it cannot handle some of the newer copyright protected movies on its own. Let us know what movie your trying to copy. Newer movies especially Sony(STEALTH,MADAGASCAR,SKY HIGH) movies have a protection system called ARccOS?. To get by this try AnyDVD from http://www.slysoft.com.This will handle the newer encryptions and should solve this issue. It is a purchase program, but does have a 21 day free trial and offers a discount to AD members. Need any more help were all here keep us posted!

This is the one that I used when I first began learning to backup my DVD's. Excellent.

I recommend AnyDVD as well. But you can get a free ripper that is updated fairly regularly in DVDFab decrypter. You can get it from this sites software page. Look under DVDrippers.
