I had some great success, after following advice on this form, with using Office Depot's house brand DVD+R discs. The first batch identified as RichoJpn but the latest have been Ritek R02. I have had some problems with the quality of these discs (glitches, freezes etc.) during playback. I see that many people are praising the Ritek R03's. Is there that big of a difference in the quality of these discs?

while i've never actually used the RitekR02s before, i can only ASSUME that the newer 8x rated RitekR03s in the DVD+R format are better in quality? newer dye by Ritek? some improvements from the 4x speed to the 8x speed?

your guess is as good as mine, wish i had some experience with them so i could tell you first hand, but unfortunately, i don't...hopefully others who HAVE used them will come along and give you some tips?

I love the Ritek-R03 media like in the taiwanese maxell +8x and the more reasonably priced Office depot +8x. I've heard many reports on the Ritek-r01 and r02 were inferior.
I haven't encountered any 8x speed media that gave me any issues. Even the lowly cmags/moser bauer/ and AML media. For all my benq burners and stand alone recorder, this 8x media is way better than that older 4x speed.

I too have had great success with ALL of the burns that I did using the Office Depot Branded 8x DVD+R media. Wonderful results.

They're on sale this week, buy 1 50 pack and get two free. What a deal.

I went to Office Depot today to pick up some 8x or 16x DVD+R to replace the apparent 4x junk that I got last time. I looked on the package and saw that they were Made in Taiwan. Anyone who has purchased these; how do they code out? I wanted to take advantage of the buy one 50/pack spindle for $36.99 and get two for free deal they have going.

Now I know I know that this will not aply to all Ritek media but...about 2/3 of all teh 'bad' Nero logs I've read in the last week or so has been Ritek media. SO b/c of this I can't advise Ritek, go w/ TY or Verbs(???). But if you have been having sucess w/ them then by all means stay w/ them.
