I was using DVD-R SONY 120 min/4.7Gb discs, but recently got some SONY DVD+R 120min/4.7 GB discs from a friend. I tried to burn a dvd tonight and it did not work. It said it was 100% done, but the burner just kept on working and wouldn't shut off. I had to turn my computer off to get it to even open and let me get the disc out. Obviously it wouldn't play the dvd when I tried it in my dvd player. Anyone have any ideas why this would happen??? I have a Sony DVD RW DW-D22A burner if that makes any difference and I was burning with NERO

Don't know how to do that. Is it gone if I have already closed the program?

Your Nero prog is several versions behind, suggest you go to http://www.nero.com and upgrade to latest version, there is probably more but in the mean time update Nero

I would slow down the burn process to 4x and see if that helps. You should try to burn at 1/2 of the rated speed of the media til you get real comfortable with the process. This will save you some coasters.

Ok, I updated Nero to 6.6.0.18 and slowed down the burn process to 4X, then did one at 6X and they both worked. Anyone know why the -R's I was using I was able to burn at 8X's without any problems, but can't do it with the +R's?? They are the same brand of disc.
