amparsi,
When CloneDVD is first installed, it creates a temp file on your HDD in which to store the data it rips to be burned after the rip is completed. I believe the path that cloneDVD is looking for to do this task is invalid because you accidentally changed it when you were "clicking around" or it is missing because you, or some "clean-up" software you use, deleted the temp folder CloneDVD is looking for.

I mentioned the "clean-up software" because such programs often delete all temp files on a HDD. Note the embolded text in the invalid path you posted:

C:\Documents and Settings\my name crap\Desktop\eraser\PAL\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.IFO 3 TCE

What the heck is that? Unless that's the name of the movie your are backing-up!? Which I doubt. I don't trust "auto-clean-up-to-free-up-HDD-space" type progams and never use them. But maybe that's not what you did. But anyway CloneDVD probably has no place specified for it to send it's ripped data. So it just stops the rip and yells at you to fix it!

Hence the error message: "The system can not find the path specified".

On the last page of cloneDVD, but before you press "Go", in the lower right corner is a section called "Options". There is a path specified for the temp files to go to. Use the browse button to create a valid path.

You can create a path anywhere you want but the path you posted seems very odd for CloneDVD to be using. The default when you installed CloneDVD was probably C:\CloneDVD Temp\Video_TS (or similar). Use that browse button to navigate to that Video_TS folder. If that path no longer exists, then recreate it. CloneDVD should now be pointed to the path it is looking for.

If that doesn't resolve the issue then post back.

Best regards,
Whisperer

Exactly what whisperer said.

What I do is create my own path and make sure that you direct cloneDVD2 to that path. Example:

I create a folder on my desktop that says DVD_Burns. Inside that folder I create a new folder with the Name of the Movie that I am backing up, such as Stealth. Now when I rip it to the hd I direct it to that particular movie folder inside the folder on my desktop.

Works like a charm. I do it this way cause I hate having to look for files that are placed randomly on my harddrive, and I know where to look to get rid of the stuff once I am ready to delete it without the fear of deleting something that my system needs.

Make sense?
