Hi, I have a 16x internal DVD burner, but I have A LOT of DVDs to burn on a weekly basis.

To increase the speed I can burn DVDs at, I am thinking about getting an external USB burner in the hope that I can them running at the same time BOTH burning DVDs. Hopefully I can then burn 2 DVDs in the time it would normally take for me to burn 1.

I have a fast computer - Athlon 3000 and over 1gig of DRR RAM, so I figure my processor will not bottleneck the process.

I have Nero 6, but I am not sure if this will allow/support multi burning.

Can anybody give me any help on how to do this / is it possible?

While I am confident that there is a method to do this, I am not confident that it will save you a lot of time. I would recommend that you make sure that you use quality media when you burn though. Use something like Taiyo Yuden which will allow faster burn speeds without sacraficing quality.

IMHO

Man, that's a lot of pirating <Evil Grin> !

Sorry, just couldn't let that one go HEHEHE !!!

If you use Nero Burning Rom, and burn at 2x, you can probably burn on 2 DVD Burners at the same time.

If you have no background tasks running at ALL, you might get away with 4x on both, with quality media like Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, I suggest nothing less...

Several of us will not recommend it, but hey, it just might work for ya.

I burned at 2x once, just for testing, and that 1 test worked out pretty good.

My 2 cents, once for each drive <grin>...

lol, it would be a lot of pirating... but it's not pirate! More Sinbad than full on Pirate :)

I might buy a specialist 3 to 1 unit, twice the price but I can sure burn a lot faster and not nail my computer.

Ty for reply.

Hi again,

Sorry about the wise crack :) Was just too funny hehehehe !

If you are in the business of generating lots of DVD Media, investing is a media duplicator might be a good investment.

And yes, it will keep your PC slow and cool :)

Hey, burn me a copy while your at it <grin>....
