I have been backing up movies for over a year now. That does not mean I understand MOST of the techniques the veterans here talk about. After installing anydvd, nero onto new hard drive recently, I have been able to only encode the movies to my hard drive, when I insert the blank disc to burn I get the following window:
"Burning did NOT complete successfully, however all output files were successfullu encoded and they are ready for burning with appropriate burning software" I have three movies on my hard drive now. How do I burn them to disc?

This is the log file:

You need to update your Nero to the current version 6.6.0.18

Your firmware for your drive needs to be updated as well.

http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_result.php?kaj=1&isces

You need to reduce your target size in shrink to 4300

Firmware update should solve this issue.

Get this corrected and try again.

cheers.

With Nero, either use the "burn DVD video files" icon or, "copy entire DVD-video", the burning Rom if you have it. Insert the VIDEO_TS files of the movies on hard drive into whichever program you open. Then burn away.

After you get your firmware and Nero updated you should be able to direct Nero to the files that you want to burn by direct it to the Video_TS folder that has the movie files.

Here is bbmayo's guide for using nero:

Cheers.
