Having the same issues with all the Harry Potter DVD's.
I want to use VOBblanker but there are too many PGC# 1-6
How do you know which ones to Blank out?

You should be able to rip and compress/re-author these dvds without a problem with just shrink. What are you trying to do?

I'm getting a "redundancy error" at 96% on Harry Potter's Chamber of the Secrets when using DVD Shrink.
I had the same issue with Disney's Sky High and found the forum about using VOBblanker to delete some VOB's and it worked.

Now I'd like to try again with VOBblanker but there are more files that I'm not sure what to "blank" out.

Are you trying to rip a new disc or is it in nasty shape?

New DVD in shrink wrap. Wanted to make backups so the originals stay in good shape.
I use AnyDVD new version 5.6.1.1, DVD Shrink, and DVD Decrypter.
The redundancy error I believe is Copy Protection.

The fact that you have tried all those programs and got errors tells me that you either have too many programs that are interfering with each other or you are the unlucky recipient of a bad pressing. Like I said before, you should easily be able to rip these movies with DVD Shrink alone. Are these region 1 DVDs?

wolfniggr

I just turned over the DVD and noticed a very small but deep gash in the DVD at the beginning of the CD. I bet that IS my issue.
Sorry, for not checking that to begin with. Back it goes to the store for replacement.

Thanks for responding.....and your help

That can definately cause issues. You could try DVDFab decrypter to rip with. Sometimes it will work on discs that are difficult.
