if you have a router you do not need a crossover cable. Also if you have a crossover cable you do not need a router . figure out which way you want do to it.

Elliot: Hey, do you, uh, think I could come back some time and play with your Xbox?
Karen: Anytime, kid.
Elliot: Bye.
Karen: Oh! Well, would you look at that? This game is called an Xbox. Well. Ha ha ha...

ok here is what you do your xbox ip should be 192.168.0.3 (last number varies) open up evox and just leave it on. now go on to you pc and clickstart menu and click network places on the left of your screen there will be a menu saying network tasks click on network conncections and then right click your connection and click properties. now you will see a drop down menu in the middle. go to the very bottom which should say tcp/ip double click on that now type in on ip address 192.168.0.1 (not same ip as xbox)now download a program called flashfxp(google it) and you will see three windows on the one on the right there is a lightning bolt click on that then click quick connect type in your xboxs ip and password "xbox" username "xbox" then your good to go. i tried to make this as clear as posssible any questions ask me.

When connecting to a router you need to use a reglar ethernet cable. On your evox dashboard under setting you should be able to find your xbox ip address.
