I have never used the software yet, but when I wanted to make a back up of a movie, I found out that it was like 7.0gb. I ripped it to the hard drive using DVD Decrypter.

Now, to use DVD shrink, was I suppose to rip it into .iso/.mdf files or was I supposed to burn it as .vob/etc files?

Also, am I supposed to use DVD Shrink before I rip the movie to the hard drive, afterwards, or does it matter?

Are you just trying to backup a dvd with shrink or are you trying to burn some converted files that you have downloaded.......

Below is a guide that might help you w/ backing up the DVD. Print it out and you should not have a problem.
