hi guys i have a big problem!!

my playstation 2 has jus started acting weird when playing my games, the videos seem to pause for a long time which is really uncomfortable game play. I live in the UK and this problem seems to only be with NTSC games i have, the PAL'S seem to be fine.

is it a lense problem??

or would it be best just to play PAL games ? if so how could i could convert my backups from NTSC to PAL? if thats possible

I'd search this board for a tutorial on cleaning your lense, and possibly your dvd's/cd's, as the slow down jerky action you're experiencing isn't to do with the pal/ntsc differences. Also, is this happening on backups, or on original dvd's as well? If only on backups, then after your machine is cleaned, if the problem is still there, we can narrow it down to media, burn speed, etc... Try the cleaning first and see how it goes....

well all my games are backup DVD i tried slowing down the speed process and it make a little difference as the uncomfortable game play narrowed down.
