New problem with making copies

I?ve got a problem burning DVDs. I?ve done it for at least two years and seldom had a movie I couldn?t burn. But, I had to redo my hard drive and I erased a bunch of software and re-installed it. Now, I can?t get a movie copied that will run in my DVD player for the TV.

The movies will run on my computer though.

And, I?ve tried copying the original of movies I?ve copied before, and still they won?t work on my DVD player.

I?ve tried using the following methods (same methods I used before)

1. Rip from original DVD and compressed using DVD Shrink, and burned to new CD with Nero.

2. Rip from original DVD using DVD Decrypter and compressed with DVD Shrink, and burned to new CD with Nero.

3. Copied from original DVD to new CD using Clone DVD2.

And, I?ve tried all three methods with AnyDVD turned on, and also turned off.

I cannot figure out what I?m doing wrong. Any ideas?

when you say cd do you mean dvd?and if you could post a burn log that would be helpful,abit more information is needed to try and sort out your problem.also what media you are using.

Yes, I meant to say DVD. Sorry about that. :)

I think I may have found my problem. I'll know after I go and buy some new discs. I had been using DVD-R discs, and they copied fine. I bought some discs at Staples and they were DVD+RW. My writer will handle any kind of discs, but I was reading that some DVD players don't read +R discs very well.

Hopefully when I try -R or I assume -RW discs they will take care of my problem.
