Hi all Im new with buring dvds and I can't seem to get it working right. My driver is a HL-DT-ST DVD-RW GWA-4080N and I have a gatway laptop. When I try to add a movie file it tells me that windows encountered a problem when trying to copy this file and it gives me an oppshon to retry or cancel. I dont know if I need to updeat my driver or what can anyone help please.

1.PC stats
2.software you are using?
3.The media you are using?
4.Firmware version and whether or not it is updated?
5.Is this an AVI type file?
6.Have you converted it to an mpeg2 format yet or is it still a raw file?
7.can you give us the exact error or is what you typed the only options you are getting

Are you trying to rip the dvd to the hard drive? Do you have AnyDVD or DVD43?

I ask because you may be encountering an encryption issue. The above programs will assist in cracking that nut.
