I have been having an issue lately with media. I tried burning some movies with Merorex media and that failed. When I tried with Sony I was able to burn the discs. I took the Memorex media back to CompUsa and exchanged it for Sony Media (50pk). Now I am still getting errors when I try to burn discs. I am using DVDDecryptor/Nero/AnyDVD. Here is my log file from Nero. I tried several discs from various areas of the spool of discs and burning at 4x and 2x.

I jumped the gun here without searching other threads. I figured since I have been burning discs without a problem until I started this new batch of discs it had to be the media or something I was doing. I was getting the illegal disc errors so I saw the hundreds of other posts saying to upgrade the firmware. I did that and everything is fine now. FYI - When I was downloading the firmware and I clicked RUN instead of save the zip file to the HDD it wouldnt work. Once I saved the file then opened it everything upgraded without a flaw.

- yup, Nero's too old to recognise your burner, update Nero
